Act As If Your Anxiety Is Irrelevant

In this week’s blog post I thought that I would continue with my theme of expanding upon the suggestions in the recent PDF I wrote on ways to do exposure therapy most effectively. A point that’s worth mentioning again is the idea that though exposure therapy comes under the general heading of “psychotherapy”, it is not what most people think of as traditional therapy.

Defeating Anxiety/OCD by Surrendering

When the danger is something physical such as a grizzly bear, avoiding makes perfect sense and is the right choice, but in our current time the dangers we face aren’t usually grizzly bears, but more often things such as giving a presentation at work, paying our taxes, retirement and worrying about who will win the presidential race.
